Fatality on the Rail

I left for Edinburgh this afternoon, and everything seemed to go pretty smoothly. However, at the second stop in York on the way to Edinburgh, we ended up sitting in the station for an extra 15 minutes. After we got going, the crew informed us that there had been an accident not too far ahead just past Darlington.

The further along we got, the worse things seemed to get. All that I know now is that there was an accident which led to a fatality on in the path of my train. Things got further backed up, and just before Newcastle, we were informed that the train would have to stop there and could not go any further.

Luckily, Nation Express managed to organize another train that I was able to catch from Newcastle to Edinburgh, but I ended up arriving in Edinburgh well over an hour late.
